Marshall Hospital Unveils Robotic Rehab Tech for Faster Recovery

Marshall Hospital near me has launched a new rehabilitation centre featuring an advanced robotic therapy device. The technology, designed for patients with physical and neurological conditions, is the first of its kind on the West Coast. It offers a zero-gravity approach to help individuals find their device and regain mobility and confidence in movement.

The centre's robotic system uses a ceiling-mounted grid and harness to support patients as they move across a room. By offloading a portion of their body weight, it eliminates the fear of falling and allows for safer, more natural movement. Patients like Diane Marchesi, who contracted polio at age three, have already seen progress since beginning treatment in October.

The new rehabilitation centre at Marshall Hospital introduces a cutting-edge option for recovery. Patients using the robotic device have shown improvements in mobility and confidence. With insurance coverage and daily sessions, the hospital plans to expand access to this specialised therapy in the region.
