Obituary: Mary Louise Arambel (1926-2025)

Mary Louise Arambel, a longtime resident of Buffalo, Wyoming, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 99, at the Johnson County Health Care Center.

Born on July 17, 1926, in Buffalo, Mary Louise spent her life in the community she loved. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas, husband John, brother Simon Iberlin, sister Madeline Harriet, brother John Iberlin and his wife Maggie.

Mary Louise and John Arambel ranched near Rock Springs and Pinedale, Wyoming, where they raised their family of four children: John, Pete, Mary, and Martha. She is survived by her four children, John Arambel of Rock Springs, Pete Arambel and his wife Sue of Rock Springs, Mary Arambel of Denver, and Martha Judice and her husband Don of Billings.

Mary Louise leaves behind five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mary Louise will be held at the Harness Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Harness Funeral Home is accepting donations and handling arrangements for Mary Louise. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations or planting trees in her memory as a way to honor her.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Louise will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo. A Vigil Service and Rosary recitation for Mary Louise will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the same location. Father Bryce Lungren will be the Celebrant for Mary Louise's Mass of Christian Burial.

Mary Louise attended Johnson County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1944. She later attended Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado.
