Media4Care Launches Low-Impact Balance Workout for Older Adults

A low-impact balance training workout, designed for older adults, has been developed by Media4Care. The workout, consisting of seven exercises, aims to prevent falls and improve body stabilization. It's recommended to start such training in one's 40s.

The workout includes unilateral moves and wobble board exercises. It begins with the back leg raise, where participants engage their core and lift their leg back without bending knees or pointing toes. Next is the flamingo stand, involving lifting the non-standing leg's arm and knee while holding onto a chair for support.

The seated running man arms exercise follows, with participants swinging their arms to swap dumbbell positions, starting with the right dumbbell on the right shoulder. The leg swing comes next, with participants swinging their leg from left to right for 8-10 repetitions, then switching sides.

The seated overhead press and seated alternate arm front raise target the central core muscles, crucial for body stabilization. The workout concludes with the seated side crunch. Each exercise is performed for 8-10 repetitions or 8-10 on each side for unilateral moves, with three rounds in total. Rest can be taken as needed between moves and sets.
