Mental Health Week 2025 Kicks Off in Schmalkalden-Meiningen

Mental Health Week 2025 in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district begins with the theme 'Let hope grow - Psychologically strong into the future'. Over 800 nationwide events, including numerous free lectures and workshops, aim to raise awareness about mental illnesses and available support services.

The week starts with an opening event and live stream on October 10, featuring Dr. Margitta Weidemann speaking on 'Between Laundry Basket and Video Conference - Finding More Happiness Moments in Daily Life' and 'Mindful Online - relaxed offline'. Further lectures include Nadine Lorenz (HEALTHcome) on October 10 and 15, requiring registration via [email protected]. Luise Ute Baumbach (Health from Baum and Bach) will speak on October 16.

The Alliance for Mental Health offers prevention, consultation, and exchange programs throughout the week. Creative offers for children and family time, such as a book flea market on October 15 and 16, are also available.
