In November 2024, athlete Milind Soman tested the 16:8 intermittent fasting method out of curiosity. By restricting his meals to an eight-hour window each day, he shed 6-7 kilograms without strict dieting or gym sessions. The experiment left him feeling more energetic and focused than before.

Soman’s fasting routine involved 16 hours without food, followed by an eight-hour eating period. The change was not part of a structured weight-loss plan but a personal trial. Despite eating less frequently, he reported feeling stronger and healthier.

Soman’s experience with intermittent fasting resulted in unintended weight loss and improved vitality. For now, his focus has shifted back to consistent fuelling for endurance training. The experiment demonstrated how small dietary adjustments can impact health without extreme measures.
