Missing Teacher Found Dead Under Mango Tree After Years of Struggle

A 43-year-old high school teacher, Abu Kabore, has been found dead under a mango tree in Senasi, within the Berekum East District. His body was discovered after he went missing from home, leaving without notice while his caregiver was away. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of death.

Kabore had been living with a caregiver who provided support due to his long-standing mental health struggles. He was known to experience frequent episodes that required close attention. On the day he disappeared, he visited a local food vendor, ate food he had begged for, and later sat beneath the mango tree where his body was found.

The search for Kabore began after his caregiver returned and realized he was missing. His body was located in Senasi, near Nsoatre, in a condition that required immediate retrieval. Sanitation officers fumigated the area as a precaution.

Kabore's life had been marked by hardship. He was abducted as a child during the Chadian civil war in 1998 and remained missing for 27 years before being found in January 2025. His recent death has left questions unanswered, with investigations ongoing to establish the circumstances.

The discovery of Kabore's body has raised concerns about the care and safety of individuals with mental health challenges. Local authorities continue to examine the case, while the community awaits further details. The exact cause of his death remains unknown at this time.
