Moglix celebrates Independence Day by enhancing safety and fostering progress at Khatema Fibres.
Moglix Modernizes Khatema Fibres Limited, Prioritizing Safety, Learning, and Well-being
Moglix, a leading industrial platform, has made significant strides in transforming Khatema Fibres Limited (KFL) since acquiring the company in October 2024. The aim is to create a modern, inclusive, and people-centric manufacturing ecosystem that aligns with the evolving aspirations of India's workforce.
The transformations at KFL are extensive, with a focus on improving workplace standards, fostering a culture of safety, well-being, and learning. One of the key initiatives introduced is the distribution of over 100 safety helmets and 500 pairs of safety shoes to enhance on-ground safety. In addition, more than 500 workers are now covered under Workmen Compensation, and over 100 employees are enrolled under Group Personal Accident and Group Mediclaim policies, offering a Rs. 2 lakh sum insured for employees and their families.
To ensure long-term workforce security, Moglix has streamlined compliance with EPF and ESIC contributions for more than 500 employees. The company is also committed to nurturing environments that uphold safety, dignity, and shared growth as the cornerstones of sustainable manufacturing.
In line with this commitment, KFL has launched a subsidized canteen that offers affordable meals to support daily well-being. Regular free health checkups are provided for employees, proactively addressing employee healthcare.
Moglix is also fostering a culture of learning at KFL by welcoming interns from premier institutions such as IIT and collaborating with experts from institutions like the Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute, Saharanpur (U.P.). This collaboration exposes employees to best practices in engineering, operations, and sustainable manufacturing.
Rahul Garg, Founder and CEO of Moglix, emphasized the importance of evolving manufacturing in India to meet global benchmarks in terms of workforce engagement and support. He stated, "We aim to reimagine industrial workspaces, making them safer, more inclusive, and aligned with the evolving aspirations of India's workforce."
As part of these efforts, Moglix is celebrating the 79th Independence Day at KFL. The celebrations featured team-building activities and a prize distribution ceremony. The company is also strengthening industry associations at KFL to further its mission of creating a modern, inclusive, and people-centric manufacturing ecosystem.
