Tragedy Strikes UK Family: Two Girls Now Parentless, Thousands Offer Support

Multitudes contribute funds for the care of Air India orphans

In an untimely turn of events, two young girls in the UK find themselves orphaned, following the tragic loss of both parents. A sudden surge of empathy has swept through the populace, with thousands rallying to support these once-happy youngsters. Over half a million pounds have been raised so far, courtesy of the GoFundMe platform.

The heart-wrenching tale begins with Arjun Patoliya, a cherished team member at Inspired Elements and a beloved friend for many years. Seeking to honor his late wife Bharatiben's dying wish, Arjun endeavored to fulfill her dream of being laid to rest in her homeland by the serene Narmada River. After the burial ceremony, Arjun was set to reunite with his two daughters back in London. Unbeknownst to them, this would never occur. The plane, tragically, never made it. "Arjun had to bid farewell to his wife and never returned to the children he raised," writes Vinod Khimji, Arjun's distraught friend and colleague, on the fundraising page.

A Future Provisioned by Generosity

Currently residing with supportive family members, the two girls are soon to benefit from the generosity of strangers. The donations gathered will be placed within a trust account, carefully earmarked for the girls' education, upbringing, and future security.

The sheer volume of support and contributions received has left Khimji overwhelmed. Though he acknowledges no financial support can replace the love and presence of their parents, every donation brings a measure of solace. "Each additional contribution will greatly aid these two young girls on their arduous journey ahead," he emphasizes.

The Air-India plane, bound for London, met its tragic fate shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad. Its devastation took the lives of 241 passengers and at least 29 individuals on the ground. One passenger, miraculously, survived.
