Danone U.S., the company behind the popular YoCrunch yogurt brand, has voluntarily initiated a nationwide recall of all YoCrunch yogurt products. The recall comes after consumer complaints about finding clear, potentially sharp plastic pieces in the toppers of certain YoCrunch yogurts.
The recall applies to all 17 varieties of YoCrunch yogurts currently sold in stores. The specific varieties include YoCrunch Vanilla with Snickers, YoCrunch Vanilla with Twix, YoCrunch Vanilla with M&M's, YoCrunch Vanilla with Oreo, and several family packs and flavour combinations. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced this recall.
The issue is confined to the separately packaged toppers, which contain add-ins like Oreo pieces, M&M's, Snickers, Twix, and granola. The yogurt portion itself is not affected. If consumed, these plastic pieces could potentially cause a choking response.
Danone U.S. is working closely with retail partners to remove affected products from shelves. Consumers are advised to avoid consumption and contact the company's consumer care line for refunds or questions at 1-877-344-4886.
YoCrunch is a brand of yogurt where each cup contains a separate compartment of toppings. The company was acquired by Danone U.S. in 2013.
This recall was initiated on July 11, 2025. The plastic pieces found in the toppers range from 7 to 25 mm in length. Danone U.S. urges consumers to exercise caution and follow the instructions provided by the FDA and the company.
