New handwashing facility transforms hygiene at Tubalan Elementary School

A new handwashing facility has been built for Tubalan Elementary School in Davao, Philippines. The project, funded by M Lhuillier’s charitable branch, aims to improve hygiene standards for hundreds of students who previously lacked proper washing stations. The ML Cares Foundation, M Lhuillier’s philanthropic arm, donated and officially handed over the washbasin station during a recent ceremony. School officials highlighted the facility’s importance, especially as post-Covid infrastructure news remains a priority. Before its installation, students at Tubalan Elementary struggled with limited access to clean handwashing areas. The new station now provides a reliable space for daily hygiene, changing how pupils maintain their health at school. The facility is already in use, giving students a dedicated area for handwashing each day. School leaders have noted its immediate impact on hygiene practices, ensuring cleaner and safer conditions for the entire student body.
