Nursing trainee Khaoula Chahboun earns Schleswig-Holstein nursing award 2024, with the BPA also bestowing accolades on nursing trainees in Kiel.
Bpa.Pflegeazubi Award 2024 Celebrates Outstanding Healthcare Trainees
Khaoula Chahboun, a trainee at AWO in Mildstedt, was honoured with the Bpa.Pflegeazubi Award 2024, an annual recognition for nursing apprentices who demonstrate exceptional dedication, practical skills, and an enthusiastic attitude towards patient care.
The award ceremony took place at the Kiel State House, under the patronage of Minister President Daniel Günther and the chairman of the Federal Association of Private Providers of Social Services (bpa), Mathias Steinbuck. The event celebrated Khaoula's remarkable journey and her commitment to the healthcare profession.
Khaoula, who came to Germany from Morocco, embodied the qualities that the Bpa.Pflegeazubi Award aims to foster. She showcased exceptional skills, empathy, and professionalism during her training period, making her a role model in the healthcare training community in Schleswig-Holstein.
Johannes Albig, the State Secretary, highlighted the importance of empathy, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility in healthcare professions. He thanked the bpa for organizing the award and all applicants for showcasing the diversity of training in healthcare.
The award ceremony also recognised Yahya Mizou from the Ameos Clinic in Neustadt and Class BSF-PA 23 of the vocational school of the Ostholstein district in Oldenburg. Yahya's video, which focused on his training in forensic psychiatry, earned him the second place. The third-placed vocational school class demonstrated the availability of great training opportunities beyond professional training.
Claudia Straub from the Association of Health Insurance Funds (vdek) noted the diversity of later career prospects presented in the videos of the award recipients. Mathias Steinbuck emphasized the importance of foreign skilled workers in the healthcare sector in Germany.
