Oura Ring's App Gets a Makeover: New Stress Tools, Enhanced Cycle Tracking
Oura Ring users can anticipate an improved app experience with a redesign slated for the coming weeks. The update introduces new features, such as a Stress Management page and expanded Cycle Insights. Meanwhile, Oura Labs is exploring blood pressure insights through a new study.
The revamped app will debut Cumulative Stress, calculated from five factors and viewable in the new Stress Management page. Cycle Insights will now offer personalized data after just one night's sleep and support a 12-month view of predicted period and fertile windows. The My Health tab will provide an overview of long-term health metrics at the top of the page, with the app retaining its familiar three-tab structure: Today, Vitals, and My Health.
In other news, Oura Labs has received approval to commence a study on blood pressure insights. The study combines Oura health data with information from a user questionnaire. Participants can expect one of three hypertension assessments. However, it's crucial to note that as of October 2025, Oura Labs is not FDA-approved for blood pressure measurement or monitoring.
Oura Ring users can look forward to a new app experience with enhanced stress management and cycle tracking features. Meanwhile, Oura Labs continues to innovate with a blood pressure study, but users should rely on FDA-approved devices for health-related decisions until official approval is granted.
