Papaplatte overhauls streaming schedule to combat burnout and reconnect with life
Popular Twitch streamer Papaplatte has announced plans to drastically change his streaming routine. With 3.1 million followers and a packed schedule, he admits his current workload is unsustainable. The decision follows his first full week off in years, prompted by exhaustion and a desire to reassess his priorities. Papaplatte recently took a rare week-long break from streaming, marking the first time he had stepped away completely. He described his usual routine as gruelling, calling his streaming days 'dead days' where he rarely sees anyone. His sleep has worsened, and he feels disconnected from family and friends.
On his podcast Edeltalk, he explained that maintaining his current pace for another decade is impossible. Instead, he plans to shift to a two-week cycle: two weeks of intense streaming, followed by two weeks off. This change aims to help him identify what's draining him most and refine his content strategy.
His channel remains highly successful, with strong viewer numbers across categories. Just Chatting averages 17,829 live viewers, while Minecraft draws 24,051, and Special Events peak at 38,856. Despite this success, he now prioritises sustainability over constant output. The new schedule will allow Papaplatte to balance work with personal life. His break and upcoming adjustments reflect a growing need among creators to manage long-term well-being. Fans can expect a more structured but less frequent streaming presence moving forward.
