In a recent development, the Hesse State Police Headquarters has taken action against a foreign transport company that violated traffic regulations in Zell, Germany.
On Monday, September 1st, a truck disregarded the traffic ban for trucks over 3.5 tons on federal road B45 in Bad König, Hesse. The truck was carrying cargo in domestic traffic, known as cabotage, and was required to comply with several regulations.
However, the transport company failed to equip the vehicle with the latest generation and current version of digital tachographs, as required by law. Additionally, they lacked proof for the driver regarding the sender's directive for transport companies.
As a result, the police intervened and ordered the driver to pay a fine of 130 euros. The vehicle was also prohibited from further travel, and the cargo had to be reloaded.
Local traffic through Zell is closed for these trucks, except for loading and unloading vehicles. The Hesse State Police Headquarters has emphasized the importance of complying with these regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
The driver in question now faces a point in Flensburg. The transport company that committed the violation has not been specified.
