Qatar Center Hosts Vital Lecture on Supporting Families of Blind Children

The Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind (QSCCB) held a lecture on psychological support for families of visually impaired children. The event took place on World Children’s Day 2025. Dr. Tarek Al Aisawi, Advisor to the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRSN), led the session to raise awareness about the challenges these families face.

Dr. Al Aisawi focused on the mental health struggles faced by families caring for visually impaired children. He explained that adolescents, women, and elderly individuals with chronic illnesses or high stress levels are particularly vulnerable to psychological disorders.

The session aimed to increase societal understanding of the difficulties faced by families with visually impaired children. Dr. Al Aisawi’s guidance offered actionable steps to reduce stress and enhance support systems. The event underscored the importance of psychological care in improving the lives of both caregivers and children.
