Dartmouth Health Expands Presence in New Hampshire's North Country
Dartmouth Health, a leading healthcare provider, has announced its first major venture in New Hampshire's North Country with the takeover of Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRH), a critical access hospital in Littleton, N.H.
LRH, which serves approximately 60,000 patients a year and has over 500 employees, has 25 beds and is the first hospital under Dartmouth Health's umbrella in the region. The takeover is subject to regulatory and other approvals.
The leadership of both Dartmouth Health and LRH signed the letter of intent on Friday. Robert F. Nutter, President and Chief Executive Officer of LRH, was involved in the contract negotiations.
Dartmouth Health operates in multiple states, including New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts, in addition to its home state of New Hampshire. The organisation has more than 30 clinical locations in addition to its hospitals and medical centers.
The takeover of LRH will expand Dartmouth Health's presence in New Hampshire, adding to its existing 30 clinical locations across the state. Dartmouth Health has over 13,000 employees across eight member hospitals and medical centers.
LRH's patients can expect continued access to high-quality healthcare services as Dartmouth Health takes over operations. The healthcare provider is committed to improving healthcare outcomes for the communities it serves.
This move is part of Dartmouth Health's strategic growth plan, which aims to expand its reach and enhance its ability to deliver exceptional care to more patients. The takeover of LRH is a significant step in achieving these goals in New Hampshire's North Country.
As the takeover progresses, Dartmouth Health will provide updates on the integration of LRH into its network. Patients, staff, and the community can look forward to a bright future with enhanced healthcare services in the region.
