New Covid Vaccination Center Opens in Neuss

Neuss, Germany, is set to welcome a new Covid vaccination center on August 7, 2023. The center will be located on the ground floor of a former Toshiba office building at Hellersbergstraße 2-4.

The new vaccination center will have a capacity to administer up to 5,040 vaccinations per week, making it a significant addition to the city's vaccination efforts. The center will be overseen by Harald Vieten, who is responsible for the IT area and building administration as a department head.

The move to the new location is part of a larger reorganization. The previous vaccination center, housed in the Hammfeld hall, will be dismantled after the opening of the new center. The Hammfeld hall is expected to be released for school and club sports around mid-March.

The new location boasts a parking lot with 51 parking spaces, providing convenience for those visiting the vaccination center. The lease agreement for the new location runs until December 31, 2022.

It's important to note that this vaccination center is moving from the Rhein-Kreis Neuss's vocational training center Hammfeld, where a vaccination center was reactivated last year.

The opening of the new vaccination center is anticipated to take about three weeks, after which it will start administering vaccines to the community. This significant scientific intervention is part of a larger reorganization, planned to conclude by mid-March, when the previous Hammfeld hall vaccination center will be dismantled.
