Rohrer Berg Animal Shelter Invites Visitors to Informal Coffee Afternoons

The Rohrer Berg animal shelter has many friends and frequent visitors—and now there's another reason for animal lovers to drop by the shelter at Am Alten Flugplatz 13.

The Meiningen Animal Welfare Association is launching a new monthly series of engaging, informative coffee afternoons for anyone interested in learning more.

Kicking off the program on Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m., the first event will tackle the vital and fascinating topic: "Healthy Nutrition for Cats and Dogs."

The guest speaker will be Theresa Eckhardt, an animal physiotherapist from Untermaßfeld, who delighted audiences last year with her entertaining talk on first aid for pets.

"You are what you eat—and the same goes for our dogs and cats," says Eckhardt. "Whether it's commercial pet food, raw feeding, or homemade meals, we'll discuss balanced nutrition, how to transition diets safely, and how to avoid common feeding mistakes."

Who doesn't want their four-legged friend to stay happy and healthy for years to come? This Sunday, visitors can learn how to make that happen. After the introductory talk, Eckhardt will be happy to take questions from the audience.

And while the focus is on feeding our furry companions, the two-legged attendees won't go hungry either.

At the perfect Sunday coffee hour, guests can enjoy homemade cake, coffee, and drinks. The Animal Welfare Association welcomes donations to support the shelter.
