Update on Anapa and Temryuk District Beach Closures

The beaches near Anapa and the Temryuk District, closed due to extensive cleanup operations, remain inaccessible, as reported by Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor.

Popova stated that the Black Sea coast of Anapa and the adjacent territories of Temryuk District are yet to meet the necessary safety standards for tourists. Daily inspections, including tests on sand and water samples, have revealed that these beaches are not ready for use. Cleanup efforts are ongoing in these areas.

Meanwhile, Popova underscored that other beaches along the Krasnodar Krai coast, from Novorossiysk to the border with Abkhazia, meet the established sanitary standards. However, specialists continue to monitor the entire Black Sea coastline to prevent potential health risks for tourists and to ensure the safety of the area post-cleanup.

Visitors can expect these beaches to reopen by mid to late June 2025, subject to weather conditions and progress of the cleanup activities. Authorities typically announce reopening dates a few days prior, so it's advised to check updates from the Anapa city administration, the Temryuk District, or local tourism offices for the most accurate information.

Alternatively, vacationers might opt for nearby beaches or attractions during the closure period to ensure an enjoyable holiday experience.
