Russian Cadet Teaches Schoolchildren the Art of Investigation
At the All-Russian Children's Center 'Ocean', a unique 'Young Investigator' module is underway as part of the 'Professional Trials' program. Fifth-year cadet Alexander Ermakovich leads the course, aiming to give schoolchildren from various regions of Russia a general idea of the investigator's profession.
The educational course, taught by an unnamed teacher, helps students understand the complexity and responsibility of law enforcement work. The children are learning practical investigation skills, such as collecting, fixing, and recording shoe prints under the guidance of experienced mentors. They are also mastering the art of drafting protocols for inspecting crime scenes and handling evidence correctly.
Recently, a practical lesson was held on the shore of the Japanese Sea. Here, the young investigators worked with traces at a hypothetical crime scene. By the end of the lessons, the children will create a gypsum cast of the footprint for educational purposes and as a memento. The module covers various methods of criminology, including tracelogy and dactyloscopy, helping the students make informed decisions about their future professions.
The 'Young Investigator' module at the All-Russian Children's Center 'Ocean' provides a practical experience in investigation for schoolchildren. By learning about the investigator's profession, the students are better equipped to choose their future careers in law enforcement or related fields.
