Russian Entrepreneur Transforms Village with $1.3M Wellness Facility
Entrepreneur Igor Chernogolov is transforming the village of Mariinsk with a new wellness facility. The project, backed by the Russian government with 100 million rubles, aims to open by 2027. Initially operating as a spa, it will later evolve into a full sanatorium offering weight loss and wellness programs.
The foundation of the wellness center is currently underway, with the first phase covering 1,500 square meters and set to accommodate 30 rooms. Chernogolov, owner of Penetron, is also restoring historic log cabins in Mariinsk for a tourism project. This includes several 19th-century cabins, cottages, a hotel, and glamping accommodations for up to 200 guests.
The sanatorium, similar to Ulutai and Kivach, will provide weight loss and wellness programs. It is expected to employ local residents, contributing to the village's economy.
