Russia's First High-Tech Compounding Pharmacy Opens in Nizhny Novgorod
A cutting-edge compounding pharmacy is set to open in Nizhny Novgorod. The facility will specialise in producing custom medications, including tailored dosages and micro-doses for children. It will also serve as the main supplier for regional hospitals.
The new pharmacy plans to manufacture up to 800 medication packages per shift. Each order will be processed digitally, with deliveries guaranteed anywhere in the region within 24 hours.
As of March 2026, no other Russian region has publicly confirmed a similar facility with this level of technology or production capacity. Available data on comparable pharmacies remains scarce, making this project a first of its kind in the country.
The pharmacy will fill a gap in personalised medicine across the region. Its ability to produce precise dosages and deliver quickly could change how hospitals and patients access specialised treatments. Operations are expected to begin soon, though an exact opening date has not yet been announced.
