Ten Thousand's Unsanctioned 10K Race Challenges NYC's Toughest

Ten Thousand, a prominent sports apparel company, is hosting an unsanctioned 10K race in Manhattan on October 10. Dubbed the 'Ten Thousand 10K', this event aims to crown the toughest athlete in NYC. The race, first announced in early September, has attracted top Hyrox athletes Dylan Scott and Jack Driscoll, among fifty selected participants.

The race, set to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the 14th Street Park, presents a unique challenge. Runners must complete 25 laps around a block in the Meatpacking District, with each lap requiring 10 burpees. This adds up to a total of 250 burpees throughout the 6.2-mile race. The entry fee is a $100 buy-in, with a $5,000 prize awaiting the top finisher.

Spectators can also show their support by purchasing a special edition 10/10 Interval T-Shirt, available from October 10. Ten Thousand aims to make this event a memorable and challenging experience for all involved.

The Ten Thousand 10K race promises to be an intense test of endurance and strength. With a compelling prize and a unique burpee challenge, it's set to draw a competitive field. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. on October 10, so spectators and runners alike can mark their calendars for this exciting event.
