A three-year-old boy fell from a second-floor window in Karaganda after being left unattended by adults, reports Liter.kz, citing Ekaraganda.kz.

According to the regional emergency services department, the incident occurred in the city's 12th microdistrict. The injured child, born in 2023, sustained multiple traumas and was immediately hospitalized.

To prevent accidents involving children falling from windows, the Karaganda Regional Emergency Services Department urges the following precautions:

  • Never leave children unattended.
  • Install childproof window guards in homes with young children.
  • Use window locks to prevent children from opening them on their own.
  • Never rely on mosquito nets as a safety barrier—children can lean against them and fall through.
  • Keep all furniture away from windows to prevent children from climbing onto windowsills.
