Top Psychiatrist Dr. Adarsh Gupta Earns 15th Straight Castle Connolly Honor

Dr. Adarsh K. Gupta has been recognised as a 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctor for the 15th year in a row. The neuropsychiatrist specialises in precision psychiatry and neuroscience-based treatments at Sleep, TMS & Wellness Psychiatry. His work focuses on complex mental health conditions that resist standard therapies.

Dr. Gupta completed his psychiatry residency at New York University Medical Center. He then pursued three fellowships in consultation-liaison psychiatry, brain imaging, and neuropsychiatry. For 14 years, he worked as an attending psychiatrist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he trained medical students and junior doctors.

His practice treats a range of conditions, including treatment-resistant depression, generalised anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He also manages complex sleep-wake disorders and neurobehavioural cases that do not respond to conventional medications. The clinic employs advanced techniques like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, ketamine-assisted therapy, and quantitative electroencephalogram analysis.

Castle Connolly's selection process relies on peer nominations and a review by a physician-led research team. No payment is involved in the recognition. Only seven percent of US physicians receive this distinction each year.

The award highlights Dr. Gupta's long-standing expertise in neuropsychiatry and sleep medicine. His use of advanced diagnostic tools and tailored treatments addresses some of the most challenging mental health cases. The recognition also underscores the growing role of precision medicine in psychiatric care.
