Tottenham Founder Lands £100K Deal on Dragons' Den for Sea Moss Wellness Brand
Rome Haghighat, a founder from Tottenham, North London, has secured investment for his wellness brand after pitching to Dragons' Den. The company, launched in 2024, sells sea moss-based supplements, gels, and soaps aimed at beauty, detox, and fitness. Four of the show's male investors immediately made offers, each eager to back the growing business.
Haghighat entered the Den seeking £100,000 in exchange for 10% of his meta. His products—made from sea moss and other nutrients—have gained traction in a booming market. Over the past two years, demand for sea moss in Britain has surged, with annual sales rising by 40–60%, according to reports from Nielsen and Statista. The ingredient is now a staple in wellness circles, promoted for its nutrient density, immune benefits, and vegan-friendly appeal.
All four male Dragons—Steven Bartlett, Peter Jones, Tinie Tempah, and the fourth investor—put forward identical offers: £33,333 each for a 10% stake. Haghighat accepted a combined deal from Bartlett, Jones, and Tempah, handing over 30% equity. The terms included a clause reducing their share to 21% if the full investment is repaid within 24 months.
The brand's first-year performance showed promise, generating £55,000 in revenue and £8,000 in profit. Its product range includes capsules, gels, and soaps, targeting customers interested in health, skincare, and workout recovery. Major retailers like Holland & Barrett already stock similar sea moss products, signalling strong market potential.
With backing from three Dragons, Haghighat's company is now positioned to expand in a fast-growing sector. The investment will help scale production and distribution of his sea moss-based wellness line. If the business repays the capital within two years, the investors' equity will shrink to 21%.
