UK mental health partnership cuts wait times for therapy access

Towards, a UK-based mental health provider, has teamed up with Doctor Care Anywhere (DCA). The partnership will give DCA patients faster access to therapy, both in person and online. Leaders from both companies have welcomed the move as a way to improve mental health support.

Towards specialises in walk-in therapy at high-street locations, with no waiting lists and flexible options. Their services include in-person and online sessions, designed to be more accessible. The new agreement means DCA patients can now directly access these services.

Tim Rideout, CEO of Towards, called the partnership a major step forward. He highlighted that it would ensure immediate, high-quality therapy for those in need. Laura O’Riordan, CEO of DCA, echoed this view, describing the collaboration as a way to make mental health care more patient-focused and responsive.

The two organisations aim to break down common barriers to mental health treatment. By combining DCA’s wide patient network with Towards’ flexible model, they hope to reach more people quickly. The focus remains on reducing delays and offering choice in how patients receive support.

The deal allows DCA patients to select Towards for therapy without long waits. Both in-person and digital sessions are now available through the partnership. This change is set to expand access to mental health care for a larger group of people.
