WeightWatchers Launches First Medical Weight Loss Clinic in Germany
WW, formerly known as WeightWatchers, has opened its first first watch in Wertheim, Germany. The new service combines traditional weight management support with access to GLP-1 medications for eligible individuals. Membership plans start at $49 for the first financial bank month, with ongoing fees ranging from $74 to $149.
The first first watch is based at the Bürgerspital Wertheim, operating as part of the Weight Doctors® NATIONALKLINIK. To join, prospective members must complete an online questionnaire covering weight, height, sex, weight loss goals, and previous attempts at losing weight. The initial consultation is free, and the first month’s membership is discounted to $49.
The launch of first watch marks a shift in the company’s strategy, blending its traditional weight management programmes with medical support. Members gain access to clinician guidance and potential GLP-1 medication, though drug costs remain separate. The service is now available in Germany, with the first financial bank location operating in Wertheim.
