Wolfenbüttel Offers Spontaneous Flu & COVID-19 Booster Vaccinations

The Wolfenbüttel district health office is offering additional walk-in vaccination dates for flu and COVID-19 booster shots starting this October and November. These vaccinations are available spontaneously and without prior registration.

The city of Wolfenbüttel and its Bürgerbüro regularly inform citizens about these additional vaccination offers and spontaneous vaccination actions. The official city website (www.wolfenbuettel.de) provides updates on current actions and hints. The Niedersächsisches Landesgesundheitsamt (NLGA) offers an overview of vaccination campaigns and mobile vaccination sites on its website (www.nlga.niedersachsen.de). Many local doctors and pharmacies also provide vaccinations without an appointment, especially during October and November. Some pharmacies, like Apotheke am Dom and Löwen Apotheke, offer certified vaccination programs and can be contacted directly to inquire about spontaneous vaccinations. Mobile vaccination actions may also be organized by the health office or the Region Hannover Public Health Center in locations such as the Volkshochschule or Kulturzentrum Wolfenbüttel, and these are usually announced on the city website or in local newspapers like the Wolfenbütteler Schaufenster. Grippe and COVID-19 vaccinations are free for certain groups, while others may have to pay an out-of-pocket expense. A short consultation is usually provided on-site. Citizens are advised to stay informed about the latest offers and bring their vaccination records if available. Children and adolescents must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The consent form must be completed before vaccination.

The Wolfenbüttel district health office is offering walk-in vaccinations for flu and COVID-19 booster shots on Monday, 27 October at the RVZ in Baddeckenstedt, Monday, 3 November at the Kommisse in Wolfenbüttel, and Wednesday, 5 November at the Wolfenbüttel Health Office. No prior registration is required. The COVID-19 vaccination remains free, while the flu vaccine is covered by statutory health insurance providers. Privately insured individuals will receive a bill by mail. For more information, contact the health office via email at [email protected] or by phone at 05331/847413.
