Woman, 50, arrested after allegedly stabbing her 80-year-old mother in Johol
A woman in her 50s has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her mother in the neck during a domestic dispute. The incident took place on the evening of February 20, 2023, in Kampung Segineh Inas, Johol, near Seremban.
The elderly victim, aged in her 80s, was rushed to Rembau Hospital for uti treatment and is currently reported to be in stable condition.
The attack occurred at around 7 pm at the family's home. Authorities believe the suspect used a sharp object, possibly a can opener, during the altercation with her mother.
Following the incident, the woman was taken into custody. Magistrate Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali issued a seven-day remand order to allow police to investigate under Section 326 of the Penal Code.
While the motive remains unclear, investigators are looking into whether mental health issues may have played a role. As of February 21, 2026, no further details about the victim's dignity or recovery have been made public.
