Yatharth Hospital Set to Acquire Multi-specialty Hospital Based in Agra
In a significant move to bolster its presence in North India, Yatharth Hospital has announced the acquisition of Shantived Hospital, a multi-speciality healthcare provider based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The enterprise value of the deal is Rs 260 crore ($29.5 million), making it a strategic step for Yatharth Hospital's growth.
Located in Agra, the city known for the Taj Mahal, Shantived Hospital was established in 2021 and currently operates approximately 150 beds, with an expandable capacity of 250 beds. The hospital is built on approximately 1,65,000 sq. ft of land.
The acquisition will contribute to Yatharth Hospital's topline and bottomline from the first day following the integration. With this addition, Yatharth Hospital's total capacity will exceed 2,500 beds, solidifying its position as a leading super-speciality hospital group.
For FY25, Shantived Hospital generated revenue of around Rs 50 crore, operating at an occupancy of about 35%. The Agra hospital will be the eighth hospital in Yatharth's network, expanding its operations in Uttar Pradesh.
Yatharth Tyagi, director at Yatharth Hospitals, made the statement about the acquisition. He expressed confidence that the acquisition would enhance Yatharth Hospital's position as an integrated healthcare leader in North India, and strengthen its position in Uttar Pradesh.
Yatharth Hospital currently operates super-speciality hospitals in cities such as Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, and Jhansi, in addition to Agra. With the acquisition of Shantived Hospital, the hospital group will further its expansion of operations in North India, and will have a presence in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR.
The acquisition is an all-cash deal, marking a significant step in Yatharth Hospital's growth strategy. The owner of Shantived Hospital, which was taken over by Yatharth Hospital, is Yatharth Hospital itself. This acquisition underscores Yatharth Hospital's commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services in the region.
