Group of Four Led by the Fresh Chief Editor at NOZ/mh

In the world of journalism, the NOZ/mh:n Medien group, based in Germany, has undergone some significant changes in its leadership structure.

Gerrit Bastian Mathies, who oversees the Schleswig-Holstein regional editorial office and the "Schleswig-Holstein am Wochenende" title, as well as sports, leads the editorial office with management tasks. However, he is not specifically identified in the search results related to the NOZ/mh:n media group, and no information on his contributions within that media group is found.

Meanwhile, Burkhard Ewert has taken on a special role in the new structure. He is responsible for the entire cover of all titles, content development and coordination with the publishers, partnerships with external customers, and the cross-title editorial office regarding content. Additionally, Ewert manages the business of the newly founded NOZ/mh:n PAGE unit, with Jan Schönstedt bearing the operational primary responsibility for this division.

Since 2023, Jan Schönstedt has been editor-in-chief at sh:z. His focus is on the future-oriented relationship between readers, users, and the newspaper as a product. In 2025, he joined Burkhard Ewert as jointly managing director of NOZ/mh:n PAGE.

Louisa Riepe, who was previously responsible for the further development and innovation area for the group, has now taken on a more prominent role. She leads the regional editorial offices of NOZ and the live centers of the overall NOZ and sh:z editorial team. Most recently, Riepe was appointed as the editor-in-chief of the "Neue Osnabrücke Zeitung". Her task is to continually rethink journalistic offerings with the goal of securing relevance in the long term.

The editorial team of the NOZ/mh:n Medien group consists of approximately 380 members. The printed daily newspapers of the group reach a circulation of around 270,000 copies daily, with the flagship being the "Neue Osnabrücke Zeitung". The editor-in-chief and three editors-in-chief are jointly responsible for all titles and products of the group.

These changes aim to ensure the group's continued success and relevance in the rapidly evolving media landscape. The NOZ/mh:n Medien group remains committed to delivering high-quality journalism to its readers and users.
