New Management at Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic: Appointment of a Fresh Hospital Director
Dr. Peter Quaschner, a seasoned professional with degrees in both engineering and business administration, has taken the helm at the Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic in Pforzheim. His appointment, announced in January, marks a significant change for the clinic as it moves towards a new era of modern, innovative, and high-quality care.
Dr. Quaschner made the move from the Evangelical Hospital Oberhausen, citing the Diakonissenverein Siloah, the operator of the Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic, as an attractive challenge. He began his tenure on July 1, 2025, and was warmly welcomed by Martin Keppler, chairman of the supervisory board.
In his first weeks, Dr. Quaschner has prioritised establishing open and trusting relationships with the staff. He has yet to publicly address any challenges or issues he anticipates facing in his new role. However, his focus in the initial period is on understanding the existing situation, and he plans to thoroughly familiarise himself with the employees and structures of the clinic.
Dr. Quaschner's strategic focus for the Siloah St. Trudpert Clinic centres primarily on successfully implementing the Baden-Württemberg hospital reform and addressing the increasing shift towards outpatient care (ambulantisierung). These key action areas reflect the broader healthcare policy context in Baden-Württemberg and Germany, where reforms aim to enhance hospital efficiency, expand outpatient treatment options, and give local clinics more autonomy and flexibility to meet current healthcare needs.
