Nutribabe Simplifies Baby's First Foods with AI-Powered Guidance
A new nutrition app called Nutribabe is being developed to help parents introduce solid foods to their babies. Lisa Lin, the creator, designed the tool after finding existing baby-feeding apps too complicated for daily use. She wanted something straightforward that simply told her what to feed her son each day.
The app combines AI recommendations with her own experience as a mother to guide parents through the process. Lin began working on Nutribabe after her son was born and she shifted to freelance work. With no formal coding background—though she had held operational roles at tech firms like Uber—she built the first version in about a month. Using the app builder Lovable, she worked in short 30-minute sessions to piece it together.
Her husband, a machine learning engineer, provided technical feedback throughout development. The app now features a recommendation engine that tailors suggestions based on a baby’s age and preferences. Nutribabe aims to simplify the often confusing transition to solid foods by giving parents clear, daily guidance.
Lin plans to expand Nutribabe into a full mobile platform. Before a public release, she will conduct further user testing to refine the app’s features and usability. Nutribabe is set to launch after additional testing. The app will offer parents a simple, AI-driven way to navigate early solid feeding. Lin’s goal is to provide a tool that cuts through the complexity of existing baby nutrition apps.
