Pampanga's ₱50M diagnostic center to offer free lab tests by July 2023

The provincial government of Pampanga will open a new ₱50-million diagnostic building in Lubao by July 2023. Governor Lilia Pineda announced the facility during a recent medical mission that served over 1,100 residents. The centre will provide free laboratory services to people in the province’s second district. The diagnostic building is part of the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program, which encourages regular health checkups and early disease detection. It will offer a range of services, including blood chemistry tests, X-rays, 2D echo, mammograms, CT scans, and ultrasounds.

During the medical mission where the announcement was made, 1,156 beneficiaries received free consultations, essential medicines, and food packs. The provincial government organised the event to support local healthcare needs.

The new facility aims to improve access to medical testing for residents. Its opening follows ongoing efforts to expand healthcare services in the region. Once operational, the diagnostic building will provide critical laboratory services at no cost. This initiative is expected to help detect diseases earlier and reduce healthcare burdens for families in Pampanga’s second district. The provincial government has set July 2023 as the target completion date.
