Wiesbaden parents' evening tackles cannabis risks and teen behavior

The Wiesbaden Public Health Department and the Addiction Prevention Office are once again hosting the online parents' evening "Highs & Hazards" following the success of previous events.

The session will take place on Wednesday, May 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Through expert insights and interactive discussions, parents will be informed, sensitized, and empowered to handle the topic with greater confidence.

Prof. Dr. René-Maxime Gracien, head of the Wiesbaden Public Health Department, explains: "The desire for thrill-seeking and risk-taking is particularly strong during adolescence. This evening will focus on both alternatives and risk competence to support young people on their journey."

The event will also provide an overview of cannabis: What exactly is it? How does it work? What are the potential consequences for young users—and what has changed under the new legal framework?
