Bad Liebenstein kicks off Kneipp Summer with hydrotherapy and wellness festivities
Bad Liebenstein Kicks Off Kneipp Summer on Sebastian Kneipp's Birthday
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the town of Bad Liebenstein will launch its Kneipp Summer—fittingly held on the birthday of Sebastian Kneipp. The event begins at 11 a.m. at the Kneipp basin in the Historic Spa Park, and all are warmly invited to attend.
"Together, we'll start the season by experiencing the classic Kneipp water-treading in the stork-step style," the invitation reads. "The Kneipp basin in the Historic Spa Park provides the perfect setting: nestled between parkland and rocky outcrops, the facility exudes a special, almost romantic charm."
Fresh spring water ensures the invigorating effect typical of Kneipp therapies.
Afterward, participants will walk along the adjacent reflexology footpath to stimulate circulation. A healthy snack, prepared according to Kneipp's nutritional principles, will round out the morning.
For years, Bad Liebenstein has actively embraced the Kneipp tradition, continuously expanding its offerings. Regular Kneipp events, health programs, and infrastructure investments form part of a broader strategy to establish the town as a premier Kneipp spa destination. This effort is supported by two Kneipp facilities within the town: alongside the classic Kneipp basin in the Historic Spa Park—featuring spring water and a reflexology path—the Kneipp Vital Park offers a modern facility that combines Kneipp therapies with medicinal water treatments.
