Augsburg's Free Outdoor Fitness Program Kicks Off for Summer 2024

Augsburg has launched a free outdoor fitness program running from June 1 to October 2. The initiative offers over 150 classes across eight municipal parks, open to all ages and fitness levels. No registration is needed to take part. The program is organised by Augsburg’s Public Health Department and Gesundheitsregionplus, with support from Techniker Krankenkasse. Qualified instructors lead the sessions, ensuring beginners feel welcome. Activities range from yoga and back exercises to high-intensity workouts.

New this year are low-intensity morning classes designed for older adults. Participants can also use restroom facilities and seating areas at each location.

The initiative aims to provide accessible fitness options throughout the summer. Classes will continue until early October, with no sign-up required. All sessions remain free for the public to join.
