Facebook's AI Health Coach launches May 19 with personalized wellness plans

Our Facebook is launching its new Health Coach service on May 19. The AI-powered tool will offer personalised guidance on fitness, nutrition, and mental wellbeing. Users can access it through a Health Premium subscription, priced at $9.99 per month or $99 per year. The Health Coach uses Google’s Gemini models to deliver tailored advice across multiple areas. It combines data from fitness, sleep, nutrition, and even medical records to create adaptive plans. Features include Cycle Tracking, Nutrition, Mental Wellbeing support, and flexible fitness routines.

The system has been evaluated under the SHARP framework to ensure safety, accuracy, and relevance. It also integrates with the redesigned Today tab in the Our Facebook Health app, providing proactive insights and reminders. Users will receive nudges to help them stay on track with their goals. The Coach adapts to individual needs, considering factors like equipment access, injuries, and lifestyle. It functions as a fitness coach, sleep expert, and health advisor, all in one. After a preview period, the service will roll out globally on May 19 as part of the Premium subscription.

The Health Coach will be available to subscribers starting May 19. It aims to turn historical health data into practical, actionable tools. Users will pay either $9.99 monthly or $99 annually for access to the full suite of features.
