Medtronic boosts employee well-being with mental health and inclusion initiatives

Medtronic has expanded its employee well-being programmes to include mental health and community support. The company now offers a range of resources aimed at improving staff welfare, from digital tools to confidential counselling. These initiatives are designed to help employees and their families access support when needed. One of the key additions is Headspace, a digital well-being platform available to all Medtronic employees and their family members aged 13 and older. The app provides guided meditation, stress management tools, and mental health exercises.

The company also maintains an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which offers free, confidential counselling around the clock. This service ensures employees can seek help for personal or work-related challenges at any time.

To further support diversity and inclusion, Medtronic provides specialised resources for neurodivergent employees and those who care for them. These include tailored guidance and workplace adjustments to create a more accessible environment.

Beyond individual support, the company funds team-based well-being grants. These encourage group initiatives that promote physical, mental, and social health among staff. Employee networks and resource groups also play a role in fostering connection, helping workers feel a stronger sense of belonging within the organisation. Medtronic’s expanded well-being programmes now cover mental health, neurodiversity, and team-based initiatives. Employees and their families can access tools like Headspace, confidential counselling, and community support networks. The changes aim to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace for all staff.
